supporting mental health together
Metal for Life NI is a non-profit organisation which supports the mental health of Metal music fans in Northern Ireland. Run by a voluntary team of metal fans, the group offers free-of-charge, peer support groups, education on mental health and a listening ear to those who need it. We are committed to providing the highest standard of service possible, with emphasis on confidentiality, respect, empathy and reducing stigma. The organisation is Constituted and run by a member-elected Board of Trustees. Metal for Life NI is registered with The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland - NIC108508.
Our private Facebook group, Metal for Life NI Group, encourages members to post inspirational music, blogs, mental health advice, articles, images and interviews, to help themselves and others in the group. We also facilitate events, days out and fund-raisers, focussing on inclusivity, communication and respect.
You can join the Metal for Life NI Group if you are a metal/rock fan and are interested in making a difference to mental health in our local community. You can also sign up for a support group session if you need help or would like to use your experiences to help other people.
